“Celebrating the Children’s Champion” – the theme for 2008!

This theme allowed the ‘spirit’ and ‘legacy’ of Madiba to be commemorated and how he has impacted the lives of millions around the world! This celebration reflected the philosophy and beliefs of Madiba on the issues facing children in Southern African today.  This event marked a very important date in the lives of both Madiba and the lives of the children attending the event!

This was all really about them – we wanted them to feel special and spoilt and escape for that moment in time into a fantastical world where dreams become a reality! This event also echoed the call for a legacy that Madiba wanted to leave behind for the children of the foundation and the children of South Africa.
